MAXINE

I was born in Durban, South Africa. My family and I immigrated to Australia in 2017. My first job was at Coles, and I loved it, as I met so many people. In 2021, I started my journey in the disability sector as I followed my passion for helping others. I got my Cert 3 in individual support, and in 2022 I completed a Cert 3 as an Allied Health Assistant. Since then I have been working as an Allied Health Assistant, I enjoy this field as I love seeing the difference I make.

 

I love support work as it gives me a great sense of pride and satisfaction, as I can see the difference I make in people's lives, to see just one smile on a face makes my day.

 

When I am not at work or at University, studying Nursing, I love going camping with my mates as well as spending time with my family. I also love to garden, bake and watch local Rugby.
