TIA

I currently work as a disability support worker and have completed my Certificate III in Disability Support. I support people with personal care, daily living, community access, and working towards their individual goals. I’ve worked with people of different ages and support needs, which has helped me build strong communication skills and learn how to adapt my support to each person. Before moving to Australia, I worked as a therapy assistant on a rehabilitation ward for the NHS in England. I helped patients recover after illness, injury, or surgery by supporting their rehabilitation and encouraging them to become as independent as possible. These roles have given me valuable experience supporting people in a caring, person-centered way and helping them achieve the best outcomes possible.

What I love most about support work is building meaningful relationships and making a positive difference in someone’s day, no matter how big or small. I enjoy helping people achieve their goals, become more independent, and take part in activities they enjoy. Every day is different, and it’s incredibly rewarding to see someone gain confidence, learn new skills, or simply have a great day because of the support I’ve provided.

In my free time, I enjoy staying active by going to the gym, walking my Golden Retriever, Pickle, and spending time outdoors. I also enjoy camping, exploring new places, and spending quality time with my partner and friends.
